Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of massage that addresses muscles, ligaments and even boney structures found deep to the superficial structures of your body. Pressure is gradually increased until the correct structures are addressed by the therapist. Often the elbow, forearm or thumbs will be used to sink to these deep structures of the body.

– Postural Related Dysfunction

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a frequently used modality that allows athletes to compete, unrestricted at their highest potential. Treatments are preformed prior to the event, during the event or post event. The focus is to prepare the athletes muscular and nervous system for peak performance prior to the event, to promote circulation and removal of metabolic waste during events, and to relieve swelling, reduce muscular tension and enhance recovery post event.

Used to Treat:

– Athletes prior to events to promote optimal performance
– Athletes during events to allow for continued athletic pursuit
– Athletes post event who are looking to return to training but are restricted by muscular tension, reduced mobility, swelling and pain.
