Tibialis Posterior Tendonitis
Most often referred to as tib post tendonitis, sufferers will complain of pain in the calf region which is sharp and stabbing, especially when running uphill and toeing off. Often those affected will complain of extremely tight calves that will not be improved by stretching, with the condition exacerbated by uphill efforts.
A massage session will look to reduce the trigger points and excessive tone in the tib post muscles belly, as well as associated structure that may be compensating. Homecare will focus on strengthening the muscles and structures that are not firing correctly, and look at solutions for managing the excessive tone of the tib post fibres.
